This audiobook is narrated by the amazing Andi Arnt and I was not disappointed! She is one of my favorite female audiobook narrators, too! Her tone and pacing are perfect for the overall feel of the book. I took down one star because I knew when I met a certain character that this character was a villain! While there wasn’t really make a huge emphasis on this, I picked it up very early on and I was already spotting all the weird things about this character, so that ruined the ultimate reveal for me.Ĭlem also doesn’t recover from her amnesia, which was very refreshing! Oftentimes, in amnesia romance, the person having the amnesia regains their memory at the climax of the book, Repeat does not do that! I was absolutely delighted that Clem didn’t recover from her condition, which felt real.

Also, Ed was supposedly heartbroken from the break-up a month before and I just wanted to get into his head! I know, I can’t have it both ways! The reason why I wanted his POV at times was that I wanted to find out what his thoughts were when he discovered that Clem didn’t remember him or couldn’t even remember why they broke up. However, I also liked that Ed doesn’t have his own POV. The whole book is in Clem’s POV and I kept wishing for Ed’s viewpoint.

Otherwise, it would have been meh.Īnother thing I want to point out here is that there is no Ed POV in this book. Which is why I liked that the reason why Clem and Ed broke up was kept a secret from the readers.

When this character was introduced, I knew this person was the villain – it was really obvious. Of course, one of the things I guessed right was the villain in the book. We basically find out the reason why they broke up as it is revealed to Clem, which I ABSOLUTELY love! Also, it adds a little bit of mystery and I actually liked guessing the reason why they broke up. What I love about this book, though is that we are never given the real reason why they broke up at the start of the book. But what differentiates this book from others is the twist – Repeat is a second chance romance! Apparently, the heroine Clementine, and the hero Ed broke up a month before the attack on Clementine, which resulted in her amnesia. Yes, it is about a heroine who has retrograde amnesia and basically lost all her memory. And I just want to say that Repeat IS NOT that! I did not know what to expect when I started reading Repeat and I LOVE it! First, I am not a fan of amnesia romances because it’s just an iffy slope, especially if there is some deception involved.
